Make sure your friends and families vote and commit to voting their entire ballot. The judges races are at the end, and many people don’t vote for judges because they don’t know who to vote for. Explain that the races for judge are important. Keep it simple. Tell them to vote for all 6 of the public defenders. I know all of them well and they are all highly skilled lawyers who share my values and outlook. It will be easier for the people you talk to remember “public defender” than “Lloyd Handler.” 

Donate to my campaign through my website. I am using targeted texts and social media advertising to reach voters to remind them to vote the entire ballot. The more you can help, the more voters I can reach.

Canvas 

The progressive community-based organization La Defensa formed a PAC called the Defenders for Justice to support 4 amazing progressive women candidates for judge. The voters they are targeting are my voters.  When canvasing, remind voters that La Defensa  recommends voting for me.

Traditional Canvassing and Phone/Text Banking

LA County is a big place, and an independent campaign like mine lacks the resources for an effective Get Out the Vote Effort. However, there are several campaigns whose voters are probably my voters, so if you support one of the following candidates,  jump into their GOTV efforts. Explain that the judicial races are also important and recommend voting for me and the other Deputy Public Defenders.
